Your delight is contagious, friend. Can you take me mead-hunting next time? And I love, love the reminder that dormancy is not death and our stories are long. So good.
How can I describe it? I feel like in a very real sense, you are saving me with your witness to the simpler surprising truth of life with your human friends and appreciation for curated experiences and beautiful flowers and magical elixirs. MEAD IS HONEY! As much "Winnie the Pooh" as Vikings. And this post has far more Winnie in it and you made me remember The Tao of Pooh and how I loved that little book. Thank you, my dear friend, for your reminders. They are a balm and a healthy dose of bubbles.
Always. And Sheri independently sent me this one and said, “Did you read this one? Mead! I love Jackie.” (She knew I’d like the subject. But also, the speaker.)
This is absolutely delightful! I had a similar experience of this beautiful Mead making wildflower Haven near the ocean last year. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on dormant things. Definitely feels like a dormant season in which little tiny sprouts that are fragile are starting to appear.
Loved this! Almost felt that I was there.
Aw, thanks Cath! You would have loved it!

Yes, let's go! We need a day trip up there in a bad way ;)

Mead is honey! Thank you, dear friend, for always getting it and helping me be weird.

Love it! Sheri is the MVP.

Ooh, want to hear more about what is sprouting sometime. And of course, your mead experience.
